The ICCDCS 2004 Organizing Committee arranged special All Inclusive Plan room rates for its attendees at the 5 Barceló Bávaro Beach Resort's hotels.
Choice of Hotels
The Resort is a recreational complex located on the white sands of Bávaro Beach, regarded as one of the ten best beaches in the world, in the Punta Cana region on the east coast of the Dominican Republic. More than 3 kilometers of tropical beach are protected by a beautiful coral reef, which forms a natural swimming pool of turquoise-colored waters, home to a magnificent underwater world.

All of the almost 2000 bedrooms in the 5 resort hotels boast a terrace or balcony with either sea, garden or golf-course views. Of these, more 1500 rooms are beach-front while the remaining are just a 5 to10 minute walk from the beach.
Facilities
The 5 hotels making up the resort offer a huge variety of facilities and services. distributed amongst spacious terraces and beautiful gardens. The the complex boasts 5 swimming pools for adults and children, Jacuzzis, an 18-hole par-72 golf course stretching along 150,000 square meters of lakes and tropical vegetation, 9 tennis courts, a gym and facilities for badminton, soccer, basketball, softball, mini-golf, horseback riding, table tennis, pétanque, darts, volleyball, waterpolo, billiards and shuffleboard, as well as an Internet center and a range of other recreational games. There are also 3 discotheques, 3 theaters, the International "Tropical’simo" Show, a casino, bingo, hairdressing salon, massage service, shopping center, boutiques, medical center, chapel, free Bávaro Express mini-train and a modern Conference Center in which ICCDCS 2004 will be held.

There are 3 water-sports centers: one specializing in dinghy sailing and its Laser and Flying Scott variants, a second center with a fantastic jetty with a professional scuba-diving school, kayaks, water-skiing, banana ski, glass-bottomed boat trips, tours of the coral reef and deep-sea fishing, and a third center that specializes in windsurfing for both amateurs on standard boards or professionals using F2 boards.
